We are not "on" the order - the order contains families; nothing would appear to be on an order.

Mar 21, 2016 · I am not sure which preposition to use after "order". For example, I would like to say: I needed rain boots so I ordered some at/from/on name of shop. I have a feeling that one would say "on" if the order was made on a website such as ebay or amazon but it does not sound right when the order was made at an actual shop like Clarks or Adidas.

(An order of pie would probably be one piece of pie also.) helping: I normally use 'helping' in the context of meals at home. One helping is the amount one person takes from the serving dish at one time.

Jan 7, 2021 · In this context, I understand "DM for order" as meaning "DM for the purpose of placing an order." It's not the most natural phrasing, but I wouldn't call it wrong. As long as her customers know what DM means - I haven't seen it for online stores in the U.S., but perhaps I shop in the wrong online stores - it's fine.
